The Annual Meeting of the Lorain County Agricultural Society will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at the Fair Board Office on the fairgrounds. All members of the Society are invited to attend this Annual Meeting. Our monthly Fair Board Meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. with the Annual Meeting starting at 8:00 p.m.

The newly elected Directors will be sworn in, election of officers will be held, pass and ticket prices will be set for the 2022 fair, and the following proposed amendment to the Constitution will be voted on: Article X – change “Regular meetings of the Board of Directors shall be held at regular intervals as decided by the Board of Directors” to “Meetings of the Board of Directors shall be held on the second Tuesday of the month except in August when it shall be the first Tuesday of the month.”

The 2022 fair will be held August 21 – 28. For additional information, please contact Charisse Nikel, Fair Secretary, at the Secretary’s Office at (440) 647-2781 or by email at [email protected]. BOOTH SPACE UNDER GRANDSTAND – BIDS AND PROPOSALS

Brighton United Methodist Church has been part of our fair since 1963, hosting a booth under the grandstand. Unfortunately, staffing that booth has become an issue for them and they will not be returning for the 2022 fair. We will be taking proposals and bids for this space. If you are interested in submitting a proposal, please send your menu and bid to 23000 Fairgrounds Road, Wellington, OH 44090 or email to [email protected].

SUNDAY, AUGUST 22

Just a reminder that Sunday, August 22, is still free gate admission. It is part of our official dates because there will be harness racing held that day at 4:00 pm. The opening ceremonies and crowning of the Junior Fair King & Queen have also been moved to that day @ 5:00 pm. Other than that, it is as it always has been – there is no charge, rides and commercial vendors will not be open, and food vendors can open at their discretion.

SAVE AMERICA – THANK YOU!!

The Lorain County Fair Board would like to extend a huge thank you to those that helped make the June 26 Save America event a safe, fun event for what we estimate to be a crowd of 28,000-30,000.  To hold an event of this magnitude and not have any major issues means a lot of agencies, businesses, and individuals came together to make it happen.  Please click on the title link above to see our thank you flyer for the Save America event on June 26.  Thank you to everyone who made this a successful event for the Save America Event Team!

2021 FULL LORAIN COUNTY FAIR PLANNED

The Lorain County Fair Board is planning a full fair August 22-29. We are taking applications and filling vendor space. Camping and reserved parking information can be found on the “Services” page. We have not announced the grandstand entertainment yet or ticket sales hoping the cap on the number of tickets sold is raised or lifted. This website will be updated as more information becomes available.
