ANNUAL MEETING
The Annual Meeting of the Lorain County Agricultural Society will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at the Fair Board Office on the fairgrounds. All members of the Society are invited to attend this Annual Meeting. Our monthly Fair Board Meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. with the Annual Meeting starting at 8:00 p.m.
The newly elected Directors will be sworn in, election of officers will be held, and pass and ticket prices will be set for the 2024 fair.

JUNIOR FAIR ADVISOR APPLICATION
We are now accepting applications for a Junior Fair Advisor. All applications must be turned in by 3:00 pm on October 27. Click the heading above and then here to get to the application: Junior Fair Advisor Application. It is also downloadable from the Junior Fair page of this website.
SHUTTLE SERVICE – FRIDAY, SATURDAY, AND SUNDAY
In addition to our parking lot, we will have shuttle service from the following locations: Wellington High School and Wellington Community Park on Friday and Saturday from 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm and Sunday from 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Shuttles will depart approximately every 20 minutes.
FAIR OPENING AT 8 AM ON AUGUST 25 – COUNTY TRACTOR PULL AT 7:00 PM
As of now, the fair is planning to open at 8:00 am tomorrow as normal! Although the NTPA Tractor Pull has been cancelled, weather pending, the County Tractor Pull will be held in the grandstands tomorrow, Friday, August 25 @ 7:00 pm. This is a free event – come out and enjoy!
THURSDAY, AUGUST 24, FAIR UPDATE AS OF 1:00 PM
As of now, weather permitting, the fair hopes to open tomorrow at 8 am and the small animal livestock auction will be held at 1:30 pm. Stay tuned for further updates. If a decision is made about the NTPA Pull, it will be posted here as soon as it is made and on our website but, as of now, it will go on as scheduled.
FAIR CLOSED THURSDAY, AUGUST 24, DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS
Lorain County Fair regretfully informs you that, due to the storms, flooding, closed roads, and damage, the fair is closed today, Thursday, August 24. All events scheduled for today have been cancelled, including the Junior Fair auction. We will post an update as to when it will be rescheduled as soon as we can. Those who have livestock or animals, or vendors needing to check their exhibit, will be permitted to go on the fairgrounds to take care of it. We will post updates throughout the day as decisions are made.
ROOTS AND BOOTS
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Sammy Kershaw is unable to perform with Roots and Boots on Tuesday, August 22, as he is on strict doctor’s orders for complete rest. Fortunately, Sammy is expected to make a full recovery. We apologize for this inconvenience.

FAIR BREAKFAST RETURNING IN 2023
The Lorain County Fair Opening Day Breakfast will be returning this year and held in the old Grange cafeteria (shown as #16 on our map) @ 9:00 am on Monday, August 21. Tickets are $25 each and available at the fair office or through the Lorain County Township Association, who is sponsoring this event.
